About

I always loved writing since I was a child and onward as a hobby and method of relaxation, fun, and escape, but I started to take my dream of being an author more seriously in 2020-2021, doing more research on writing so that I could improve and better understand the structure of a book. I always loved fantasy even though I do read/watch contemporary material. Though I do like to read books for enjoyment, I always preferred to create and bring my imagination to life since I am a creative person. My mom likes to write as a hobby too and encourages me to continue writing books.

It doesn't work out so well for me when I try to avoid fantasy. I always end up adding paranormal or fantasy elements to my books because I sometimes get bored with "real life" and like to escape. I am interested in reading and writing about magical beings like vampires, mermaids, fairies, angels, elves, shapeshifters, aliens, etc, or things like curses and magical spells because it just adds a little more mystery, danger, and magic to a story in my opinion. Some themes that I like to explore are good vs evil, generational curses, aging, soulmates (or true love), culture, and outcasts.

I also was always a hopeless romantic type, so I can't write a book without romance since it adds so much beauty and excitement to a story. I prefer to write idealized romance and characters because I don't think real life is that interesting, as I've mentioned. The types of heroes I tend to write about are strong, masculine, and protective, but sweet, kind, supportive, and caring about the heroine's safety, well-being,  and her happiness. My hero encourages the heroine to follow her dreams and is concerned with her comfort. The types of heroines I write about are a bit on the old-fashioned side being ultra-feminine, interested in beauty, and somewhat soft-spoken and gentle but at the same time will do things that are dangerous and brave when needed. Being an old-fashioned person, I still like the damsel in distress type heroines and the hero stepping in to save the day as a knight in shining armor showing his protective masculine side.  With that being said, I also like it when the heroine saves the hero as well in certain instances because it is a wonderful thing when two people are looking out for each other and are selfless.

I try my best to avoid using graphic violence or anything explicit even though it is common in paranormal romance or fantasy books. I like to focus more on the characters and the relationships than on fight scenes and I also like to keep the romance pretty wholesome so that it is readable by a larger audience. It is my personal belief that you don't need shock value to have a good paranormal or fantasy book.
